FAQ's
1) I already
paid the $150.00 filing fee, so will this effect me?
Answer:
Yes, unless your Pardon application has been accepted by the PBC, you
will have to pay another $481.00 more. Applications received or post-marked
on or before February 22, 2012, will be accepted under the former $150.00
application fee, as long as they are deemed to be eligible and complete
by the PBC at the time of receipt.
2)
Will paying more money make the system better?
Answer:
We don't expect it will. In fact since the fee was last raised to $150.00
in December of 2010, the system has dramatically slowed down.
3) What will
be the total fee including disbursements?
Answer: For
one conviction, and for someone who has lived in the same city for the
last 5 years, the total will be approximately, $1222.00. For people
with multiple convictions and/or who have lived in many areas over the
last 5 years the cost will be considerably higher.
4) Is there
anything I can do about this?
Answer:
Vote for another party that puts people before profits.
